Count Me In started as a WhatsApp thread about pickleball. Eighty messages deep and I still couldn't tell you who was playing Friday.
I'm not an engineer. I spent years in enterprise software sales, which means I've watched a lot of companies buy expensive tools nobody opens twice. The ones that stick aren't the impressive ones. They're the ones that solve the small annoying thing you hit every single week.
Ours was Friday. Who's in.
So I made it for my own group first, and when we needed something, I added it. Then friends wanted it for their groups — different interest, same problem.
The groups worth protecting are the small ones. The same eight people, the same night, the thing you'd miss immediately if it stopped. Those don't need a network or an algorithm. They need someone to know who's in.
It was private to me and my friends for a while. Now groups I've never met use it to run their weekly thing.
It started as a way to sort out Friday. I use it every day now.
